I have found there are some analysis packages (e.g. yt, sator, paicos and scida) which claim to support arepo data. Which one is the most suitable for TNG?
This has been in development for many years, and is somewhat general (multi-code), so I would view it as a lightweight alternative to yt, or a more developed (but less specialized) version of paicos.

As an update: the new temet package may be of interest. It is rather specific to cosmological simulations, particularly IllustrisTNG and data available here on the TNG website.

Awesome! It is the best for TNG.
